The Logel Family’s Story of Courage

Every day we receive inspiring stories from you.  We are in awe of the courage you show as you face the challenges of pancreatic disease.  Every story is unique and special because of the strength and courage that all of you have.

Pancreatic disease impacts not only the patient but the whole family.  This is particularly true in pediatric pancreatitis where the whole family, parents and siblings, need to learn how to live with a new reality.

Today, we want you to meet the Logel family.  We first met the Logels when the mom, Kimberley reached out to us wanting to get involved and do something to help other families.  More recently we heard from Ben, aged 9.  Ben does not have pancreatitis, but his brother, Matthew (aged 7) does.  Ben had a special class project he was working on in which he had to design a brochure for a non-profit.  And he wanted to design something for us!

We have included some pictures of the lovely brochure Ben designed as well as more information about their family.  We are so honored that Ben decided to work with the NPF and I think you will agree he did a great job.  Enjoy reading the message from his family, their photos and the brochure.  I hope you will be as moved by Ben’s dedication to his brother as we were.  This reminds us that no matter who you are, or how big or small you are, you can make a difference!
