Michele D. Lewis, MD, MMS

Dr. Michele Lewis is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina  and did both her internship and residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  Dr. Lewis completed her GI fellowship training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and also earned a Master’s degree in Medical Science from Harvard Medical School. Her research interests include genetic causes of chronic and recurrent acute pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. She leads the pancreas interest group at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida where she lives with her two daughters.
