A. Jay Freeman

A. Jay Freeman, MD, MSc, is a nationally recognized leader in the development of therapeutic guidelines for children with pancreatic disorders and cystic fibrosis (CF). As the Medical Director of the Advanced Pancreatic Care Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Director of Digestive Health for the Emory+Children’s Pediatric CF Program, his mission is to provide the highest level of care for children with pancreatic disorders and CF throughout the Southeast through a multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Freeman is involved in a number of national and international research collaborations in order to better understand the burden of pancreatic disease in children.  Through the NPF, he hopes to spread awareness of pancreatitis and other pancreatic disorders in children and improved patient and family education related to these disorders.
