What inspired you to run for the NPF?

If I am honest, I running for NPF by happy fate. The more I read about the people I will be running with, my purpose has easily become them and their stories. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

What is your spirit animal?

Emu. They’re weird looking and really personal.

Your go-to meal before a race?

“Nothing. A cup of coffee. No, half a banana. Whole banana… wait, am I stupid? No, nothing. Yea, nothing, that’s good. Shoot, I drank the coffee already!” Panic eating ends up being the go to meal.

Favorite meal after a race?

BEER!

What is your favorite time of day and why?

5:00 AM—I am either sleeping happily, or highly productive.

Five things you can’t live without?

Coffee, Radio, Water, Sunrises, Sunsets. In that order.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Pick a workout routine, and stick with it for the next 50 years.

Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

In Europe and Asia… at the same time! WHOA!

What fad or trend do you hope comes back?

Travel by train. It is/was so classy, and dignified (sneering glance at the airport).

What would you run 100 miles for?

Laura, no hesitation.

Eating ice cream.
