What You Should Know as a Patient Diagnosed with a Pancreatic Cyst
Date: September 20th, 2023
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 EST
Pancreatic cysts are very common within the general population and are often identified in a patient as an incidental finding on imaging that was performed for other reasons. However, because a small subset of pancreatic cysts can develop into pancreatic cancer, these lesions should be evaluated and discussed with a medical professional. Within this informational webinar, Drs. Paniccia and Singhi will review new developments in the field of pancreatic cysts.
Specifically, they will discuss the advent of molecular testing to improve the diagnosis of pancreatic cysts and the detection of early pancreatic cancer arising from a pancreatic cyst. Further, they will also provide information on minimally invasive techniques to treat pancreatic cysts.
In this webinar, we will learn ways to:
- Recognize the different approaches to evaluate pancreatic cysts including the clinical
utility of molecular testing. - Discuss surveillance and treatment strategies for pancreatic cysts.
