What inspired you to run for the NPF?
I lost my grandmother to pancreatic cancer. It is an aggressive form of cancer with few treatment options. I run for her, and all the others that can benefit from the research funded by NPF.
Running mantra or life mantra?
“Just because you are struggling does not mean you are failing. Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there.”
Favorite place to run? Or your happy place?
I love running in Colorado. The air is thinner but the climate is so nice and dry. Around the DMV I like to run far up the C&O canal where there are less people.
What’s your dream job? First job?
My dream job would be to own a doggie daycare.
If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose would they be? Why?
Any host of Saturday Night Live. Technically that would be a week in someone else shoes.
What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
My family owns a farm so I am good with machines. This surprises people because I work a desk job.
What’s your secret talent?
Singing. I am professionally trained, but now I consider it a secret talent because I hardly sing anymore. I am also pretty good at finding four leaf clovers.
What’s your favorite thing to do for fun?
Drinking coffee. My fiancé and I loving going to coffee shops all over the DMV and trying the coffee.
You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it?
Does money count? If not, I would say plane tickets so I can go anywhere in the world.
Have you ever completed anything on your “bucket list” OR Name one thing on your “bucket list”?
I recently got engaged to the women of my dreams. Next thing to check off is a trip to Hawaii.
