What inspired you to run for the NPF?

To honor my grandfather whom died of this cancer and is buried at Arlington National Cemetary, as well as a dear friend’s father. Anything I can do to move closer to a cure I will do.

Three words that would describe you? 

Silly, compassionate, empathetic

What is your spirit animal? 

Whale shark

Your go-to meal before a race? 

I try to eat my fear for breakfast

Running mantra or life mantra?  

One foot in front of the other

Favorite place to run? Or your happy place? 

Empathetic Beach, sunset or sunrise time of day

Five things you can’t live without? 

Hugs, sunshine, more hugs, laughter, love

What’s one thing about you that surprises people?

I love scuba diving, skydiving and have never smoked a day in my life at age 39

Sunset, it feels like an officials closure to a day well spent
