Marine Corps Marathon and 10K – Washington, DC
Oct 28 all-day

The NPF MCM team will be running the marathon and 10K to raise money for research and in honor of those suffering from pancreas disease.

Voted as one of the best marathons for first-timers by Runner’s World as well as a must-do fall marathon – this race is simply one of the best!

2018 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon
Nov 3 all-day

Selected as a charity partner for the 2018 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, the NPF is looking for a group of people to run in the name of finding a cure, in memory/in honor of a loved one, or supporting an organization that provides hope and courage to those suffering from pancreas disease.

Distances are: marathon, half-marathon, and 5K!

Voted as one of the biggest marathons in the U.S. – this race is an ideal fall marathon!

The cost is $25 per person.

Your registration fee includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental, taco buffet and drinks. Bowling will be followed by a raffle and silent auction.

Bowl 32/ Three, Two, Fun has a wonderful arcade and glow-in-the-dark putt putt golf, as well as the most advanced scoring and gaming system in the state. BEING THE BETTER YOU: LIVING WITH PANCREATIC DISEASE @ Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans Center for Health Education Duke University

The National Pancreas Foundation North Carolina Chapter and Duke University Medical Center, Division of Gastroenterology jointly host a Patient, Caregiver and Family Centered Care for Pancreatic Diseases educational event.

The main goals are to increase understanding of the immediate and long-term impact of pancreatitis on health, ability to function; to discuss the approach to getting your voice heard; approaches through mindfulness as method of pain relief and helping you understand if a total pancreatectomy is right for you. We will also discuss updates and resources available at the National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) National Office, the NPF North Carolina Chapter and the approved centers at Duke University and the Carolinas Medical Center.
