Your registration includes bowling for two and a half hours, bowling shoes, food and soft drinks. We will also have a band performing at the event with a silent auction to follow.

NPF Iowa Chapter – Pediatric Pancreatitis: Family, Facts, Function, and Fixes @ University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital

Children who have experienced various forms of acute, recurrent or chronic pancreatitis and their caregivers and family members are invited to a patient- and family-centered symposium on pediatric pancreatitis, presented by the National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) and University of Iowa Stead Family Childrens Hospital.

Panelists will discuss causes of and treatment for pancreatitis, and how pancreatitis affects childrens health. A parent will share their familys journey with their childs pancreatitis.

An NPF representative will share updates and resources available at the National Pancreas Foundation National Office, the NPF Iowa Chapter, and UI Stead Family Childrens Hospital, Iowas only approved NPF center.

The event is free and open to all children and caregivers. Parking and a light lunch will be provided (lunch and networking 11:45 a.m. 12:45 p.m.)

The University of Michigan and the National Pancreas Foundation Michigan Chapter will jointly host a third Patient and Family Centered Care for Pancreatic Diseases educational event.

The main goals are to increase understanding of the immediate and long-term impact of pancreatitis on health, ability to function and work and medical coverage; to discuss the approach to complex care and to highlight causes and the approaches to chronic pain. We will also discuss updates and resources available at the National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) National Office, the NPF Michigan Chapter and the University of Michigan NPF center of excellence.

The event is free and open to all physicians, patients and caregivers.  All are welcome to attend even if you have not registered however please keep in mind if you are not registered you may not receive lunch.

Marine Corps Marathon/10K

Want to run for a cause? Or has running a 10K or a marathon been on your bucket-list and you’re ready to check it off? Want a 26.2 mile or 10K running tour of Washington, DC?

Run for the National Pancreas Foundation!

Selected as a charity partner for the 2019 Marine Corps Marathon (Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Washington, DC), we are looking for a group of people to run in the name of finding a cure, in memory/in honor of a loved one, or supporting an organization that provides hope and courage to those suffering from pancreatic disease.  In return, the NPF will support you every step of the way with motivation, team support (via a private Facebook group), swag, team tent at the finish line, and a team pasta dinner the night before. In 2018, our 44 runners raised $36,686 all in the name of finding a cure for pancreas disease!

2020 Marine Corps Marathon

Amid COVID-19, the NPF has decided to transfer it’s Charity Partnership for 2020 to 2021 to ensure that everyone will be able to run together (in-person). Team Pancreas has gone virtual for 2020! What does that mean?! It means that anyone can run and raise for The NPF on October 25th! You can sign up for the virtual marathon ($45) or the 10K ($33). Once you register and sign up, please notify National Program Director, Sokphal Tun at stun@pancreasfoundation.org. We will add your picture to the 2020 Team Pancreas site. Registrants who raise at least $250 will get a Team Pancreas shirt and pre-race goodie bag along with their MCM swag. Wait! There’s more! 😯 A race event is not complete without a pasta dinner! This will be virtual where we can “meet” all our members and hand out awards. (More details to come)

The NPF National Office is excited to announce the Inaugural NPF National Virtual “Rocking Party” Gala & Fundraiser on Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (EST).

Entertainment for the Gala will be a performance by Grammy Award Winner Peter Frampton whose hits include “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Show Me the Way.” The Gala will feature the Inaugural Legacy Awards honoring clinicians’ career achievements in the field of pancreas disease. These first-time awards will honor Dr. Peter Banks and Dr. Bill Go. An additional Legacy Award will be featured for volunteerism. The evening will also feature the launch of Camp Hope, a pediatric pancreatitis summer camp, as well as additional testimonials from patients and celebrities.

Sponsorship packages will range from $50,000 to $500 and individual tickets $25.

Understanding and Managing the Psychological Impact of Pancreas Disease

The National Pancreas Foundation holds an annual Fellows Symposium as an opportunity for Fellows to gain insight and instruction from renowned specialists. The Symposium will be held on May 15 – 16, 2021, due to the Covid-19 virus the event has been switched to a virtual program.


This is open to physicians and PhD-level scientists who are Fellows, and first or second-year faculty (pancreatic cancer) who have demonstrated an interest in pancreatic disease.

The application is due no later than March 31, 2021.
