Wendy A. Oliver
Wendy is a Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Clinic at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She came to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in 2004 starting in the Pulmonary Department as a Sr. Secretary. She then transferred to the newly developed Interdisciplinary Lung Cancer Clinic as a Coordinator. She coordinates patient appointments inclusive of several tests with multiple providers.
Wendy graduated from Stevens High School in 1985. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for Sullivan County Nursing Home for one year. Then in 1986 she went to work for Grobet File where she worked as a stitcher, team leader, and hand grinder for eleven years. She graduated from the New England School of Travel in 1998 and on to work for American Express/Garber Travel for six years working as a Travel Consultant for Dartmouth College. She scheduled individual travel, large group travel and did meeting travel arrangements for the students and professors.
Wendy has suffered with Chronic Idiopathic Pancreatitis for 12 years. She had a whipple procedure in February 2010 was then diagnosed with Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm (IMPN/pre-cancer). She then had a total pancreatectomy in June 2010 followed by successful a pancreas transplant in December 2011.
Her favorite activities are horseback riding, walking, playing with her new Italian Greyhound puppy, and shopping with family and friends. Wendy lives in Canaan NH with her husband Jeff.
