NPF Centers of Excellence

NPF Centers of Excellence are premier healthcare facilities that focus on the multidisciplinary treatment of pancreas disease, treating the “whole patient” with a focus on the best possible outcomes and improved quality of life. There are currently over 155 NPF Centers of Excellence throughout the United States.

Patient Registry

NPF’s patient registry is a cloud-based health information management tool for patients affected by pancreas disease. It is the first patient registry impacting all forms of pancreatic disease, including pancreatic cancer, chronic and acute pancreatitis, pediatric pancreatitis, and Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS).

Animated Pancreas Patient

An online National Pancreas Foundation resource to improve your quality of life and health outcomes. You will find expert advice about pancreatic disease featuring easy-to-understand animations with audio narration, resources and downloads to help you discuss key issues with your health care provider and make important decisions related to management and treatment.

Nutrition & Cookbook

The NPF produced a new printed cookbook, and e-flip version, and created a printed patient-centred wellness pocket guide. The cookbook includes healthy, tasty, and low-fat recipes for pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and pediatric pancreatitis patients and their families.

Black/African American Initiative

The National Pancreas Foundation has created a pancreas disease early education and awareness campaign with a focus on pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis in the Black/African American community throughout the United States.

Caregivers

Caregiving responsibilities will touch almost all of us at some point in our lives. With an aging population and with many caring for ill and disabled children and young adults, an increasing number of people are family caregivers. Giving care and support during this time can be a challenge.

Camp Hope

The National Pancreas Foundation and Rebecca’s Wish created Camp Hope, a pediatric pancreatitis summer camp so children and young people suffering from pancreatitis, or post-TPIAT, can experience all the joys of camp without limitations in a fun and safe setting that includes camp activities such as swimming, games, crafts, and more.

Education Events

The National Pancreas Foundation hosts monthly education events on varying topics for pancreas disease. Our virtual educational events feature industry-leading experts and professionals working within various areas of chronic disease including patient advocates.

Clinical Trial Resource Center

Clinical trials offer a look at future treatments. They determine whether a new and potentially better treatment is safe and effective in humans. Clinical trials may provide opportunities for you to receive a promising drug or treatment. Our resource center explains clinical trials, and offers a resource center and current clinical trials.

Newsletter Library

The National Pancreas Foundation offers a monthly newsletter that is packed full of information to help those suffering from pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and FCS. Our newsletter includes events, awareness, education, clinical trials, volunteer information and much more!

PFDD Voice of The Patient

The National Pancreas Foundation, the only foundation dedicated to patients who are suffering from all forms of pancreas disease, held its first-ever, EL-PFDD meeting on pancreatitis in 2020, in Silver Spring, MD. The meeting was dedicated to the pancreatitis community and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). 

Inspire Online Patient Support

The National Pancreas Foundation Pancreatitis Support Community connects patients, families, friends and caregivers for support and inspiration. This community is sponsored by the National Pancreas Foundation, an Inspire trusted partner and offers a place where pancreatitis patients and caregivers can ask questions and share support and information with each other.

Financial Assistance

The National Pancreas Foundation does not currently provide routine medical assistance or funds for treatment, but we offer a list of resources from other organizations that may be of help to you.

Mental Health

The National Pancreas Foundation has partnered with Mental Health America to address mental health in pancreas disease. We will offer quarterly seminars focused on pancreas disease and chronic disease that addresses positive mental health. 

Pain Management

Significant pain associated with pancreas disease can seriously reduce a patient’s quality of life. Find resources on pain management and treatment for pancreas disease.
